In an era when anxiety, isolation, and emotional fragility affect an increasing number of European adolescents, the NARRADRAMA project was born to offer a creative and inclusive response.
Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (KA210-YOU – Small-scale Partnerships in Youth) and coordinated by MTS Edizioni (Italy), the project involves European Social Art (Spain) in a journey that combines autobiographical writing, fiction, and drama therapy as tools for personal growth, resilience, and cultural participation.
🎭 A Methodology That Transforms Emotions into Stories
At the heart of the project lies the Narradrama methodology—an innovative approach that combines autobiographical writing, creative storytelling, and dramatization to help young people rework their experiences and turn them into meaningful stories.
Through guided workshops, participants learn to “rewrite” their own experiences, transforming wounds, fears, and uncertainties into words, dialogues, and narratives of resilience.
As the project’s promoters affirm, “writing and telling one’s story is a way to heal, to give meaning to what we have lived, and to feel once again like the protagonists of our own lives.”
✨ Main Objectives
- Strengthen the emotional well-being and resilience of young people aged 16 to 20 in Italy and Spain
- Create a narrative community that combats social isolation and promotes sharing.
- Innovate youth work through narrative and artistic methodologies.
- Promote youth cultural participation through the publication of a collective book and audiobook.
- Ensure the replicability of the model through a methodological guide for educators and youth workers.
📚 A European Journey of Writing, Art, and Inclusion
The project unfolds across three countries:
- In Spain, the intensive autobiographical writing workshop will be led by European Social Art in Valencia, involving young people from vulnerable contexts, including those affected by traumatic events such as the DANA floods.
- In Italy, MTS Edizioni will coordinate the narrative editing workshop and the production of the collective book, which will be presented at the Turin International Book Fair. MTS Edizioni will also lead the digital storytelling and audiobook creation workshops, integrating artificial intelligence for accessibility and broader European dissemination.
💬 Young People as Protagonists of a Narrative Change
The young participants will become authors of their own stories and ambassadors of a new way to speak about mental health and inclusion.
Their words will be gathered in a book and an audiobook distributed across Europe, giving voice to a generation that too often feels invisible.
🌐 An Impact Beyond the Project
NARRADRAMA is not just a training course—it is a laboratory of active citizenship, an invitation to use creativity as a tool for empowerment and participation.
The project will leave behind a replicable methodological guide, designed for educators, youth workers, and cultural organizations interested in integrating the power of autobiographical storytelling into their daily practice.
