Following the intense and highly participatory International Autobiographical Writing Workshop held in Valencia, the European project NARRADRAMA moves forward into a new and strategic implementation phase: the Local Writing Workshops.
This phase represents the natural continuation of the transnational experience and translates it into a locally rooted, long-term learning pathway. Over a period of six weeks, the workshops will be implemented simultaneously in Italy and Spain, engaging young people in a structured and supportive creative process.
The Local Writing Workshops: Objectives and Methodology
The Local Writing Workshops aim to consolidate and deepen the work initiated during the international mobility. Through weekly sessions, participants are supported in developing their autobiographical narratives while strengthening emotional awareness, self-expression, and peer connection.
During this phase, young participants will:
- Refine and finalise the autobiographical texts initiated in Valencia
- Explore advanced narrative techniques, including structure, character development, and text editing
- Share reflections, challenges, and creative processes within a group setting, fostering mutual support and dialogue
- Receive individual guidance from youth workers and specialised mentoring in storytelling and narrative development
All activities take place within a safe, inclusive, and guided environment, where writing is used not only as a creative tool but also as a means for emotional processing and personal growth.
Expected Impact
The Local Writing Workshops play a key role in supporting young people to consolidate their narrative voice and prepare their texts for inclusion in the project’s collective book. At the same time, the process contributes to strengthening self-esteem, resilience, and the ability to articulate personal experiences through creative expression.
A European Pathway Through Writing and Fiction
With this new phase, NARRADRAMA continues its European journey by combining body, writing, and fiction as interconnected tools for well-being, inclusion, and social transformation. The project reaffirms the role of artistic and narrative practices as powerful instruments to support young people in making sense of their experiences and positioning themselves actively within society.
