Narradrama - The Power of Storytelling for Youth
About
NARRADRAMA is a European Erasmus+ project that uses storytelling, creative writing, and dramatherapy to strengthen young people’s emotional resilience, creativity, and social inclusion.
Through a series of workshops in Italy and Spain, young participants aged 16 to 20 transform their personal experiences into fictional narratives — developing confidence, empathy, and self-expression.
NARRADRAMA – The Power of Storytelling for Youth – enhances the emotional and social well-being of young people in Italy, Spain, and Belgium. The project responds to the growing challenges of anxiety, social isolation, and emotional distress among youth by combining autobiographical writing, fictional storytelling, and drama techniques.
Objectives
- Strengthen young people’s self-esteem and resilience through creative writing and dramatization.
- Create safe spaces for self-expression and intercultural dialogue.
- Support youth workers with innovative narrative-based methodologies.
- Amplify youth voices through a collective book and audiobook.
- Promote inclusion and participation in cultural life across Europe.
Methodology
Based on the Narradrama approach, the project integrates writing and performance as tools for self-discovery and empowerment. Participants reinterpret personal experiences through fiction, creating narratives that foster healing and connection.
Activities
The NARRADRAMA journey unfolds through a series of interconnected workshops and events that bring together creativity, inclusion, and European collaboration.
Autobiographical Writing Workshop (Spain)
An intensive four-day training where young participants explore their personal stories through fiction and drama. Led by European Social Art (ESA) in Valencia, the workshop helps transform lived experiences into creative narratives that foster emotional well-being and self-reflection.
Local Writing Workshops
Follow-up sessions held in Italy and Spain where participants refine their stories with the guidance of youth workers and mentors. These workshops create local “narrative communities,” reinforcing peer support and creative confidence.
Narrative Editing Workshop (Italy)
Organized by MTS Edizioni, this phase focuses on editing, rewriting, and preparing the participants’ texts for publication. It introduces participants to the editorial process, enhancing writing and communication skills
Book & Audiobook Creation Workshops (Italy)
Coordinated by MTS Edizioni (Italy), this initiative introduces participants to AI-assisted storytelling and digital publishing. Participants learn how to narrate, record, and design the audiobook that accompanies the print book.
Final Event – Turin Book Fair (Italy)
The project concludes with a public event at the Turin International Book Fair, where participants present their collective book and audiobook through readings, performances, and dialogue with cultural stakeholders.

Dissemination & Impact
